1 GENERAL PROVISIONS
MEDGREECE IKE. acts as an independent medical facilitator and agent of selected Medical Care Providers in Greece and internationally.
MEDGREECE IKE. facilitates contact between the Policyholder and the Medical Care Provider.
The aim of MEDGREECE IKE is to provide its clients with access to quality and world-class medical services.
As a facilitator, MEDGREECE IKE. commits itself to the Global Healthcare Model and offers to their clients:
- Value of choice – to help Patients make independent, informed and free decisions relating to their healthcare.
- Value for money – overseeing the treatment processes and ensuring that the quality promised is the quality delivered.
- Continuum of care – ensuring that the Patients are provided with the appropriate care throughout the process, from commencement of treatment to the follow-up care upon returning to their country of origin.
- Transparency – making its function and dealings transparent.
MEDGREECE IKE’s staff adheres to Codes of Ethics and Practice that demonstrates its commitment to the attainment of best practice in the provisioning of remote healthcare.
MEDGREECE IKE. upholds moral values and exercises professional judgment consistent with the established ethics of the medical profession.
The commercial interest must always remain subservient to the health and well-being of the Patient and to ethical practice in provisioning health and well-being.
2 TREATMENT OBLIGATIONS
MEDGREECE IKE. ensures ethical practice and Patient advocacy in the provision of best healthcare to patients.
Under this agreement, MEDGREECE IKE. is obliged to ensure that all contracted services are delivered to the Recipient, as set out in this contract.
MEDGREECE IKE. acts as a medical tourism facilitator and an agent of selected Medical Care Providers who perform the medical services directly to the Recipient.
MEDGREECE IKE. ensures that all medical services provided by the Medical Care Providers with which it cooperates, are performed by the medical personnel with appropriate qualifications in accordance with the applicable local law.
MEDGREECE IKE. as an agent of selected Medical Care Providers and is NOT financially related to these Providers.
MEDGREECE IKE bears no legal liability for all medical practices (Medical Malpractice) as far as it concerns the medical services provided by the Medical Provider and/or his associates
Additional Medical Services
3 REMUNERATIONS – RESPONSIBILITIES – DISCLAIMER
Yachting Medical Assistance Policy is not an insurance product/service and it is not governed by any Greek and/or international insurance legislation.
The total final price of the Policy which include Greek VAT, is pre-agreed between both 2 parties involved (Medgreece and Policyholder) and provide specific pre-agreed medical services listed into this contract wording.
The pre-agreed total price does not include any tests considered necessary during pre-assessment or diagnosis for some treatments, or as a result of a pre-existing condition, or exposure or vulnerability to any condition of the Patient,
The pre-agreed Total price does not include any hotel bills –additional services – such as meals, use of telephone, laundry, etc.
Stay at accommodation and or cruise booking and/or flight tickets are not booked through MEDGREECE IKE.
The Policyholder is obliged to cooperate with MEDGREECE IKE and its associate i.e. international Medical Providers., especially to give all requested information and send all requested documents which are necessary for the appropriate arrangement of the medical services and other services covered by this contract.
MEDGREECE IKE. assumes no responsibility or liability for non-performance or an undue performance of this contract caused by Recipient’s lack of cooperation.
MEDGREECE IKE. will maintain confidentiality of any personal medical information concerning Patients that was revealed to it in its course of business.
MEDGREECE IKE acts under E.U. GDPR Legislation and agrees that (i) the any medical Information will be kept strictly confidential, (ii) the Interested Party and its Representatives will not disclose, divulge or communicate any of the Confidential Information to any person, firm or entity other than medical staff involved in Patient’s treatment.
The medical treatment itself is subject between the Policyholder and the Medical Care Provider undertaking the treatment.
MEDGREECE IKE’s staff are not medical professionals and will not discuss or advise on any issues relating to medical treatment.
MEDGREECE IKE bears no responsibility or liability for any treatment or other services rendered by Medical Care Providers, or for any malpractice claims and other claims that may arise directly or indirectly from any such advice, treatment or other services.
These aspects are governed by the terms and conditions of the Policyholder’s treatment with the Medical Care Provider.
MEDGREECE IKE. assists the Policyholder in contacting the Medical Care Provider by phone/video conference if necessary.
MEDGREECE IKE. bears no responsibility or liability if the Medical Care Provider decides that Primary and/or Secondary Health Care cannot be provided on sight and on the spot of the Doctor’s visit according to local medical legislation and has to be cared in a local Hospital and/or return to his/her country without the planned treatment.
MEDGREECE IKE is not reliable for any cost of tests, consultations and other incurred costs will be deducted and arising from the above reason, other than the pre-agreed free services listed above
MEDGREECE IKE. and Medical Care Provider will not accept liability for any loss or damage, direct or indirect, caused by the Policyholder’s failure to follow the instructions and advice given by the Medical Care Provider.
MEDGREECE IKE. will not accept liability, direct or indirect, for any loss or damage arising as a result of the services performed by the Medical Care Provider.
MEDGREECE IKE. does not guarantee the success of the planned medical procedures.
MEDGREECE IKE does not fund or provide discounts for medical treatment procedures, OTHER THAN THE PRE-AGREED FREE MEDICAL SERVICES LISTED ABOVE IN THIS CONTRACT, however this can be a subject of an agreement between the Policyholder and the local Medical Care Provider.
MEDGREECE IKE. bears no responsibility or liability for failure to provide or improper provision of the pre-agreed free services, caused by force majeure, such as facility utility disruption, transportation strikes, or weather conditions.
4 COMPLAINTS
Any complaint of the Policyholder must be communicated to MEDGREECE IKE. by calling 00302169003333. or by e-mail to info@medgreece.eu
MEDGREECE IKE. will respond to all complaints in writing or by email within 14 business days from the date it was received.
5 FINAL PROVISIONS
Both parties involved meaning MEDGREECE IKE and the Policyholder, both agree, that the Greek courts and the Greek Commercial Legislation are responsible for resolving any legal issues arising from legal disputes from this contract.
6 Right of Cancellation – Refund Terms
Information on the consumer’s Right of Cancellation & Refunds according to E.U. Legislation. You have the Right to cancel your policy within 14 days of paying for it, as long as you do it at least 24 hours prior to your embarkation date.
If you do cancel according to the above, you should get full refund.
